Each plate is hand-shaped and crafted with utmost care and detail by craftsmen from Chechén Wood Design based in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Product information

• Dimensions: approximately ø30 cm diameter.
• Made from 100% Parota wood, a higher type of wood found in Mexico and Central America.
• Wood tones: light brown to medium brown, sometimes with a reddish tint or darker amber streaks. The external sapwood of the Parota is pale yellow in color and is unique, it is the clear demarcation of the heartwood of the Parota.
• Finish: edible oil.

• Each plate is handmade. Therefore, there may be slight variations in shape, size and colour. This makes each item a unique piece of craftsmanship.

Maintenance instructions

• Do not machine wash.
• Do not wash with hot water. Wash with cold or lukewarm water.
• Do not leave to air dry, but dry immediately after washing to prevent stains from water and scale, and to prevent the wood from cracking. 

• Keep your wooden board in optimal shape with good care: use an edible oil (e.g. olive, avocado oil) or a mineral oil to protect it from drying and cracking. Apply oil before first use of your wooden product and occasionally oil to ensure years of usage.
